Great book on how species evolved flight and how humans learned to fly through design. Great illustrations and writing make this a great book on flight and the evolution of flying.

It seems the book may have been written for younger people, perhaps middle school age – but as an asrclt I found it an enjoyable, fascinating and informative read. It was very interesting to read about the evolutionary processes that prosrcced flight in insects, birds and mammals. And it was interesting to read the process that humans went through to create their own flying machines. The illustrations were very nice, and expanded beautifully on the Kindle for closer inspection.

Dawkins excels at popular science books, and this is quite possibly his best effort to date. He explains very complex systems in ways that even an idiot like me can understand. He is truly a gift from God.

I thought I was pretty well informed about flying but every few minute of listening I learned something new, we\’ll written, well read by the author, I listened to it in one sitting and I\’m starting over to absorb even more.

I\’ve read most everything Richard Dawkins has written and I think this is his finest work yet. The audiobook is wonderful and I love the conversational tone and his unparalleled ability to make science easily understood. This is a master work.
