《简·爱》（1847）是一部思想内容与艺术形式都十分独特的小说，以抒情浪漫的笔法描写了女家庭教师简·爱与庄园男主人罗切斯特之间的深挚爱情，成功塑造了英国文学中第一个对爱情、生活、社会以及宗教都采取独立自主、积极进取态度的女性形象，被视为“现代女性小说”的楷模。

《Jane Eyre(简爱)》讲述了这样一个故事：简·爱自幼父母双亡，投靠冷酷的舅母，但舅母无情地抛弃了她。她在一所慈善学校做了六年的学生和两年的教师。十八岁时，简·爱受聘到桑菲尔德府学当家庭教师，认识了主人罗切斯特。两人都被对方独特的气质和丰富的感情所吸引，于是不顾身份和地位的巨大差距深深相爱了。正当他们举行婚礼时，有人证明罗切斯特的前妻还活着。简·爱知道他们不可能有平等的婚姻，于是选择了离开。后来，简·爱意外遇见了她的表兄妹们，并从叔叔那里继承了一笔遗产。但她无法抵御对罗切斯特的刻骨思念，于是便回到了已经失去了财富、身体也遭到火灾严重摧残的罗切斯特身边，毅然跟他结婚。在爱的沐浴下，罗切斯特找回了幸福和健康。

Jane Eyre (originally published as Jane Eyre: An Autobiography) is a novel by English writer Charlotte Brontë, published under the pen name \”Currer Bell\”, on 16 October 1847, by Smith, Elder & Co. of London, England. The first American edition was published the following year by Harper & Brothers of New York.[citation needed]

Primarily a bilsrcngsroman, Jane Eyre follows the experiences of its eponymous heroine, including her growth to asrclthood and her love for Mr. Rochester, the Byronic master of Thornfield Hall. The focus is on the grasrcal unfolding of Jane\’s moral and spiritual sensibility, and Jane Eyre revolutionised the art of fiction in the way that all the events are coloured by a heightened intensity that was previously the domain of poetry. Charlotte Brontë has been called the \’first historian of the private consciousness\’ and the literary ancestor of writers like Proust and Joyce. The novel contains elements of social criticism, with a strong sense of Christian morality at its core, and is considered by many to be ahead of its time because of Jane\’s indivisrcalistic character and how the novel approaches the topics of class, sexuality, religion, and feminism.

很经典的着作拉 考专四都考到它的片断。。

给五星，前半部分确实好，后半部分略逊一筹，五星给这份灵魂之爱。这是一位女性成长的缩影、自白，她有自己的原则，也有自己的判断，更有自己的坚持与善良、爱。爱是什么？爱不是嫁给一个古希腊面庞的英俊少年，不是嫁给家财万贯的大叔，而是一个发自内心喜欢，对方也喜欢自己，呆在一起舒服、自在，完全能够展现出自己的人。爱需要平等，但也需仰慕；爱不可无度，但也需让步。老天会奖赏善良的人。

多年之后重读，发现犹如没有读过一般，太美了！

绝妙的文字 读后感觉自己的英文功底都跟着提升

原着的语言总让人感觉很深情~

确切地说，应该是听过吧，自己下了音频和英文，边听边看。

英国女作家，作品主要表现贫苦小资产者的孤独、反抗和奋斗。代表作《简·爱》，另有小说《雪莉》《维利特》《教师》《艾玛》。

Charlotte Brontë ( 21 April 1816 – 31 March 1855) was an English novelist and poet, the eldest of the three Brontë sisters who survived into asrclthood and whose novels have become classics of English literature.

She enlisted in school at Roe Head in January 1831, aged 14 years. She left the year after to teach her sisters, Emily and Anne, at home, returning in 1835 as a governess. In 1839 she undertook the role as governess for the Sidgwick family, but left after a few months to return to Haworth where the sisters opened a school, but failed to attract any students. Instead they turned to writing and they each first published in 1846 under the pseudonyms of Currer, Ellis and Acton Bell. Her first novel The Professor was rejected by publishers, her second novel Jane Eyre was published in 1847, although it was not initially well received; one critic described it as a \”pre-eminently an anti-Christian composition\”. The sisters admitted to their Bell pseudonyms in 1848, and by the following year were celebrated in London literary circles.

Brontë experienced the early deaths of all her siblings. She became pregnant shortly after her marriage in June 1854 but died on 31 March 1855 of tuberculosis or possibly typhus.
